Because I love them, and I think they are definitely more versatile than just running or working out gear.

Let's just say that before I had Lil Man, I definitely had my insecurities. I can't remember a time that I really felt comfortable in my own skin. That statement is pretty sad if I think about it. Well, I take that back - when I was pregnant - other than feeling miserable because I couldn't breathe - I felt comfortable with my growing boobs and belly. I didn't worry about looking 'huge'. I was carrying a life inside of me. He needed to grow, and I needed to grow with him. But then he came out,

I don't know about you, but I crave a schedule and a routine. The reality is that life happens, and schedules are often changed. ( The Blizzard of 2016 comes to mind!) But I have found that when I can stick to a schedule (especially when it comes to my devotions) that my stress level is significantly reduced. So I'm learning that carving out time to do my devotions and take that time for me really is important to myself and my family. Lil Man is almost 5, and although he is a little young for the Jesus Today Devotions For Kids  ( the recommended age is 6-10 ) I want to start him out on the right path of taking time to study the bible and learning God's promises for him.

If you know me at all, then you know that I LOVE snow. I mean I love love love it. Growing up in Mississippi, we didn't get snow. And that's one thing about Pennsylvania that I really love is the chance of snow. I watched the weather forecast like I was waiting for a child to be born ha. Yes, I'm serious. And as the snow started to fall south of me, I was super jealous that I didn't have snow where I was. But as the night went on, I was up every couple of hours checking the amounts. And by morning, we had substantial snow. As the day went on, the snow kept accumulating. 

My son was in speech from a very young age. I knew that he wasn't 'babbling' the way that his peers were. So I pushed for testing. He qualified. Long story short, I pushed for testing again when he was older and got him moved to work with a speech therapist ( at a younger age than most would have ). He tested out of speech. But when he was 2, his speech teacher suggested that I put him in preschool. I hadn't even entertained the idea! I planned to put him in at 3, but not 2. After some discussion with Hubby, I checked into it. Talk about being nervous. This was the first time that I had been away from Lil Man, and the first time that I had trusted anyone to care for him. It was the best thing ever - for us .
