Sweating with Suddora Pink Ribbon Sweatbands

I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature. As you know, I love to sweat, #WillRun4IceCream , and I do like all things cute and functional. So when I had the chance to try the Suddora Pink Ribbon Sweatbands , I was happy to give them a try. First I love the color. Although I am known for my neon when it comes to working out, I also am a fan of pink. Second, I have friends who have battled breast cancer, or friends who have loved ones who battled breast cancer, so these sweatbands invoked memories for me.  Quality: They are  80% Cotton, 12% Spandex & 8% Nylon . I found them very soft and comfortable. And to be honest, I thought the headband would slip when I ran. Hey, most of them do. So I was really surprised when this one stayed put. Yep.... for real.  And the wristband was great at wiping away sweat. And it also staye

Spin Your Salad With Key Largo Traders Salad Spinner

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.  As you know, I'm trying to eat healthier with real whole food. ( Our Journey To Healthier Eating Begins)  and that has prompted me to eat more salads (minus the sugary fatty dressings and croutons). But, I didn't have a salad spinner, and although I would try to dry my lettuce with paper towels, I would still wind up with super wet lettuce. So when I heard about the  Key Largo Traders Salad Spinner , I couldn't wait to test it out. It is a large 4.5 quart salad spinner. The basket doubles as a colander, and the bowl could be used as a serving dish for the salad. So Lil Man and I put it to a test. First of all, it was super easy to use. Put the washed lettuce in the colander, place it in the bowl, put the lid on, and press the handle. Yeah, it isn't really that complicated is it? Lil Man thought it was super fun

I'm In Love With The Kobert Premium Waterproof Case

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. I am so so so so excited. When I saw the  Kobert Mobile Premium Waterproof Case  I was kicking myself for not hearing about it earlier. I could have used it all summer at Hershey Park as we were  Hershey Park Happy . There were numerous times on the boardwalk that I wanted to take pictures, but couldn't because my phone couldn't get wet. Or when we were at the pool, running through sprinklers, or dunking our heads under water. And the Kobert Premium Waterproof Case will be perfect at the beach. I don't like having my phone at the beach because of the sand and water. Well that problem is solved now. And when I run, #WillRun4IceCream , I usually always run with my phone - mainly for safely reasons, but I also like to take pictures along the way sometimes. And there have been numerous times that while I was out

Making The Most With What You Have

It's no secret that I struggle this time of the year. I miss my family very much, I hate the fact that my son is growing up for them in front of the camera and in videos because that's the only way they get to see him. I hate that they hear secondhand the cute things that he says instead of hearing it for themselves. So no this is not an easy time of the year for me. It compounds every heartache into a compressed six weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. And in addition to those feelings, it seems as though everyone else that I know is busy with their own family - and rightfully so. But while they are busy, our once busy schedule pretty much becomes nonexistent.  We are left to our devices to try to fill the void. I'm trying to make happy holiday memories for the three of us. Doing the best that I can do, and at times still feeling as if I am failing miserably.   Hubby is gone most days out of the next 10 days. So Lil Man man and I are on our own. I'm thinkin

RedApple Reading Program Review And Giveaway

I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature. I don't know about you, but I'm always on the lookout for a great educational program for Lil Man. Even though he's only 3.5, I am still curious to see what's out there. I was given the opportunity to review the RedApple Reading program, and I was an instant fan. Setting up a parent account was easy. After that was completed, you set up an account for your child. The child then logs in to reach his or her account. (Of course, the parent can log in and see progress reports and take care of administrative duties). Since Lil Man is only 3.5, I logged in for him. At this point, a lot of the the reading program was a little more advanced for him. It is designed for children 4-9. But with my help he enjoyed it. And with more practice, I believe he will better understand the concepts

In The Stillness (of Mind) Comes Peace

Sitting still - it's sooooo hard for me to do. It's just not in my nature, my personality, my DNA. But when your 3 year old is sick, as in gasping for air - can't breathe sick, you sit. You sit and comfort. You sit and read. You sit and watch cartoons and videos over and over. You play trucks and cars in-between wiping noses and comforting coughs.  You sit on his bed while he sleeps, partly because he asked you to just lay with him for a little while, partly because his breathing isn't comfortable, partly because you want to be there quickly if he needs you.  Laundry piles up. Dishes are left unwashed. You sit because right now sitting is the most important 'job' right now - being still and in the moment for your child. It's hard for me to quiet my mind. I'm always in motion, even when I'm sitting still. But I am finding that if I can still my mind, my thoughts and just be present in the moment that is where I can find peace. Oh don&#

Old Factory Candle Gift Set Review

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. I love candles. I always have. But for some reason this time of the year, I seem to enjoy them even more. I just learned that November is National Candle Month so maybe I'm not the only who really enjoys candles this time of the year. Most days than not, there is a candle burning in my house. (However, I always consider safety especially since Lil Man is 3.5. For tips on Candle Safely, click here ) I'm always on the lookout for great candles as some candles just can't seem to hold a candle to others. :) The Old Factory Candle Gift Set  contains 3 different 2 ounce candles in an array of scents. Here are the scent options:  Fall Harvest   Pumpkin Spice,  Cranberry,  Autumn Leaves Happy Holidays   Christmas Tree,  Candy Cane,  Gingerbread Winter Wonderland  Hot Cocoa,  Roasted Chestnut,  First Snow Romance  Rose

Tis The Season To Struggle

It's always this time of the year that I struggle. You'd think that year after year that I wouldn't be surprised that I'm struggling. I mean EVERY year this time of the year it happens. So you think this year that it wouldn't come as a surprise. There are some family dynamics that I refuse to openly discuss. But it is a heartache that I feel on a daily basis. Say what you want, say what you will, but not a day goes by that I don't have to deal with the struggle inside. And with the holidays it seems to bring it all to the surface. My son will never meet these people. They are not a part of his life, and the reality is they never will be. And it is a heartache that I deal with on a daily basis. It is the feeling of rejection -  not wanted - not loved. And most days I handle it well. But then there are some days that heartache erupts over into my daily life. And it's the little things that set it off - someone blocking me on Facebook - the feeling of

Baby Buddy 360 Toothbrush Review And Giveaway

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. Ever since Lil Man was a baby, before he even had teeth, we introduced brushing his teeth (at that point gums). And we have been faithful since with making sure he brushes his teeth. We've always just used a children's toothbrush. But then I heard about the Baby Buddy 360 Toothbrush The Baby Buddy 360 Toothbrush claims that it:  Removes almost 2X more plaque than the usual toothbrush  Round shape: Gently yet efficiently brushes teeth, tongue and gums simultaneously No edges for a more comfortable experience Soft, microfiber bristles, contains 10X more bristles than the average toothbrush Enables water-only brushing – no toothpaste needed for small children So we put it to our own little test.  Lil Man found it very easy use. He liked that he could turn it around and around ;) He liked that part a lot.
