Dot Dot Small Packing Cubes Review

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. I'm an organizer by nature - it's just me. And when it comes to packing (for the gym, a trip, anywhere) I can be a little obsessed with how I organize my things. I have been known to use an entire box of plastic bags to organize my things inside my bag. I like to have things separated so that I can find them quickly. So when I heard about Dot Dot Small Packing cubes , my heart skipped a beat just a little. Yes please! And since you know that I Will Run For Ice Cream  my first place that I tested out the Dot Dot Small Packing cubes was at the gym. The Dot Dot Small Packing cubes come in a 4 piece set. And when I opened the box I thought they were pretty small, and honestly really didn't think that much would fit in there. But I tossed one in my gym bag anyway so that I could try it out. After my workout, usually I

MegaMesh Magnetic Screen Door Review - Keep The Bugs Away

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. Let's face it, bugs are a nuisance. And there are times that you want to enjoy the fresh air, but leaving the door open isn't an option. Well check out the MegaMesh Magnetic Screen Door And when it says easy install, it really means easy to install. We choose to use thumb tacks for a little extra support (but we didn't use the adhesive because we knew that we'd be moving it). We decided to put it on Lil Man's bedroom door. Our Maltese (Tula) sleeps in his room, and we wanted to give it a thorough testing. I figured between Lil Man and the dog, that this would really put the MegaMesh Screen Door to the test.  It took about 5 minutes to install, and Lil Man was ready to go. He ran through it and back, and through it and back. Seriously!  And each time it popped back to closed. No matter how hard he ra

Where There Is A Will - Raising A Strong Willed Child

I'll come clean - I like things my way, done my way and in the time frame that I want them done. I'm working on changing and being more flexible, but let's get real, it's not going to happen overnight. So I shouldn't be surprised that Lil Man is cut from the same cloth. ( I might add that although Hubby probably denies it, he also likes things done in his way and his time frame also. I do think though that his time frame is a little slower than mine. I tend to want things done now verses later ). But Lil Man being 3.5 can definitely be a little strong-willed at times. And these last couple of weeks, it's been battles over the little things - like getting dressed - time to leave the house - time for bed - what he doesn't want to eat etc. I think you get the picture. And by the end of the day it can truly be exhausting ( Can I get an amen? ) And does anyone else feel a little inadequate at times? I mean, I'm helping my son learn how to cope with sit

The Things They Don't Tell You About Motherhood

What they don't tell you about Motherhood... They don't tell you that you will feel love in a way that you've never felt before, to the point that it almost hurts at times. They don't tell you that watching your child struggle at something is one of the most painful feelings in the world. They don't tell you that watching them gain their independence is one of the most gratifying yet scariest feelings ever. They don't tell you that when they hurt you feel it in every fiber of your being. They don't tell you that even as they get older, you'll still check on them in the middle of the night to make sure they are still breathing. They don't tell you that there will be days that you will feel like the worst parent in the world, that you wonder if you are cut out for this, and  if you'll ever figure out how to do this. Because the truth is ( in my world) , there are some days that I wonder if I will ever figure this parenting thing out.

Getting Back To Basics - Unfiltered

I'm going to be mixing things up a bit on the blog. As you know I'm a stay-at-home mom to our adorable never a dull moment Lil Man. And as a lot of stay-at-home moms do I sometimes struggle with the lack of providing financial support to our family. ( It's Today Not Tomorrow ) Don't get me wrong I feel that I do plenty of work  being a stay-at-home mom to our son. And my husband recognizes what I do. But last year I did a lot of administrative freelance work when Lil Man was in preschool to help supplement our income. It was nice, but it also really stressed me out because I felt that I was using every free moment that I had to work. This year I've tried a different approach. I dropped all of my freelance jobs, and  I've been focusing more on the blog in the way of trying to get my numbers up with increased traffic and trying to generate a little money that way. But the reality is I kind a lost focus of what I really want to do with this blog. So instead

Key West USDA Organic Raw Shea Butter Product Review

I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature. This was my first experience with raw shea butter. I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. I've used products containing shea butter, but never a container of raw shea butter. But I was pretty excited to try the Key West USDA Organic Raw Shea Butter . If you are a follower of my blog,  then you know that I'm sensitive to smells. And if this didn't smell pleasant to me then it probably wasn't going any where near my skin. I opened the jar and took a whiff ( this is probably why my son smells everything before he touches it ha ) But it smelled ok. It really didn't have much of a smell which I liked.  If you've never used Raw Shea butter before, let me enlighten you and tell you that isn't creamy like lotion. So don't expect it to be a loti

Neenah Astrobrights Paper Is A Neon Lover's Dream

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. When it comes to my running I am pretty much known for my neon bright clothes. What can I say I love all things bright :-) So when I saw this paper imagine my joy at all of the bright bright colors This Neenah Astrobrights Colored Paper and Neenah Astrobrights Colored Card Stock is a neon lover's dream. I suppose it would be a little too much if I taped pieces of this on my body when  I ran :-) but there are of course more practical uses for this bright paper.  The Neenah Astrobrights comes in 24lb weight and 65lb. And honestly the possibilities are endless. It just so happened that Lil Man needed a little practice with using the scissors. Apparently he's like his Momma and also loves all things bright. He was more than thrilled with this paper. So we put the Astrobrights paper to the test. And i

My Experience With Dr. Song Rosehip Oil

I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature. I have to tell you, I'd never heard of Rosehip oil. I really didn't know how to use it, or what it was even for. But after a little research (yeah, I just googled it), I decided that I would like to give it a try. Rosehip oil is used for a lot of different skin conditions. It can also be used as a hair treatment or nail treatment. But I still really didn't know 'what' to do with it. I mean it was just oil in a bottle. The directions were fairly simple, "Put 2-4 drops of undiluted oil on damp skin." It can also be mixed with moisturizer. The directions also said to keep it refrigerated. So here goes - my first experience with Dr. Song Rosehip Oil I timidly opened the bottle. I don't know why I expected it to smell, but for some reason I expected it to s
