No Napping

What has happened to my napper?!? I realize that he should be transitioning from two naps to one. I understand that. I'm happy with that. I've been ready for one afternoon nap for awhile now, since most activities we attend are in the morning.
But this, this is I did not expect. For several days, he started napping from 9:30-11:00, and wouldn't take an afternoon nap. He was too tired and cranky, but refusing a nap. For the last couple of days, I've tried to either eliminate the morning nap, or cut it short (forcing what I thought would be an afternoon nap). NOT! Yesterday resulted in a 20 minute nap and that was it. It was a long, tiring and very difficult day.
Today resulted in a 5 minute nap on the way home from the gym. I tried to transition him to the crib, but that didn't work. So I got him up, gave him lunch, took him to the pool for an hour (an hour was his limit today) and put him down for a nap when we got home. He was determined not to take one, but so very tired he could barely function. Finally, after a long taxing afternoon, he fell asleep.
Let's hope he wakes up feeling refreshed!

( Finally, we can schedule my surgery. ) She tells me who she is, and then tells me that she has a cancellation for tomorrow. ( Me stammering... )  "Ok, but I was thinking the end of June."   Then I hear "We just had a moment to look at your file. We really don't think that you should wait. Feel All the Feels Then Deal

Not what I expected when the phone rang. It was a routine dermatology appointment.  "Do you have any concerns?" “Yes, a small spot on my face. It comes and goes. Two weeks ago it had disappeared (again). So I'm actually glad that it’s back.”  It was the size of a pin head. It was teeny tiny. A nuisance, but not something that really seemed to bother me. “I suspect that it’s skin cancer.”  “So, we just burn if off, right?” “No, it needs to be cut out and sent to the lab.” I was not prepared for this. It’s on my lip! She’s going to cut a hole in my lip! She warns me that the shot is going to hurt and possibly a lot. She tells me this several times. (I’m thinking surely it can’t be that bad.)  I was wrong.  It hurt.  A lot.  I’m creeped out at the thoughts of her taking a chunk off of my face at the top of my lip. Window Bird Feeder By Yellow Beaks

Lil Man has been beside himself since the Clear Window Bird Feeder by Yellow Beaks arrived in the mail. He couldn't wait to get it up and outside. He's very anxious for the birds to come. I wasn't sure how the suction cups would hold up. I've never, in the past, had much luck with any type of suction cup. But so far it's been a week with varying temperature changes, and the suction cups are holding strong. The construction seems sturdy, and it looks to be well-made. It also will be easy to clean out. I know with bird feeders they can get a little yucky sometimes, but this will be easy to remove, spray out and clean up.  So far the birds haven't visited us yet. Our neighbor has several bird feeders and he is keeping all of the birds over there (ha). But Lil Man is checking daily, sometimes multiple times a day, for a bird.
